Recognized as a thought leader in consumer-driven healthcare, Ann Mond Johnson co-founded Subimo in 2000 with the vision of helping consumers make better healthcare decisions. Today, with nearly 75 million subscribers, Subimo has emerged as the market leader in decision support for consumers. The company’s mission is to help employers and health plans improve healthcare and reduce costs by providing their members and employees with credible, unbiased information through a variety of robust, interactive online tools. Subimo’s clients include leading health insurance companies such as WellPoint, Lumenos, Oxford Health Plan, and Harvard Pilgrim; third-party administrators, including Wausau Benefits; and employers and benefit management firms. Recently, Subimo announced its expansion into the financial services sector by launching an agreement with US Bank.

Prior to co-founding Subimo, Ms. Johnson was a senior executive with Sachs Group (now part of Solucient), where she led the product development and operations teams. With over 15 years in the healthcare industry, Ms. Johnson has an acknowledged track record in creating new and state-of-the-art information products.

Ms. Johnson frequently speaks on the topic of consumer-driven healthcare and decision tools; venues include national meetings for America’s Health Insurance Plans, International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, and the Consumer Driven Health Care Congress. She has also participated in several initiatives designed to further the focus of consumerism in healthcare, including URAC’s recent development of standards for consumer-driven plans. Ms. Johnson serves as the chairperson for the Medical Banking Project’s Health Futures Committee and was the first member of the National Association of Health Data Organizations Board of Directors to represent the private sector. She participates in the Alumni Association for Carleton College , where she earned her Bachelors of Art. Additionally, she received an MBA in Finance and a Masters in Health Care Administration, both from the University of Minnesota.
